What is the cake order notice period?
Ideally we would like a 2 month lead time when ordering wedding cakes and 1 months notice for all other celebration cakes however depending on our schedule and the design we may be able to accept orders at shorter notice.
As our cakes are bespoke and hand made we will not be able to offer a cake on the same day, we need at least 2 days notice for a fully decorated cake.
Allergens: Our Kitchen handles GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGGS, NUTS and other allergens. Therefore we can not cater for anyone with any kind of food allergy, this includes but is not limited too: cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans. (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites (if they are at a concentration of more than ten parts per million) and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
If you are gifting an item, please ensure you have discussed allergy requirements with the recipient before gifting.
DEFINITIONS
The “Seller” is defined as the legal entity Pinkface Cakes. The “Buyer”  and/or “you” means the person (legal or natural) who buys the goods. “Goods”, “Cake” and/or “Cookies” is defined as the items to be supplied by the Seller to the Buyer as listed in the Cake File/Invoice.
These Terms and conditions shall apply to the sale of the Goods by the Seller to the Buyer to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions referred except where the Seller has agreed to such variation in writing and by way of signature. By ordering from Pinkface Cakes you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions and accept that these Conditions may be modified or amended and posted on this website from time to time. It is for you to check these Terms and Conditions from time to time to ensure you are still happy with the content.
1. Booking Deposit
The Booking Deposit is both non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because it covers the cost of time spent on administrating your wedding cake file, research, shopping, design consultation as well as your cake tasting session. A receipt will be emailed to you once your Booking Deposit has been received. By paying the Booking Deposit, the Buyer is agreeing to the Terms & Conditions as set out on this page. We take £100 to secure your date at the time of booking.
2. Payments
Any part-payments made towards the cost of your wedding cake and/or cookies are refundable providing at least 6 months notice has been given in writing to The Seller, all cancellations must be addressed to Pinkface Cakes, Sun Cottage, Pinkface Studio, Clements Gardens, Hawkwell, Essex, SS5 4DX
The balance on your invoice will be due 6 weeks in advance of your wedding date (or collection date). A receipt will be emailed to you by the Seller once your payment has been received.
3. Cancellations/postponement
If you need to cancel the wedding cake please do so as soon as possible. All payments (less your £100 Booking Deposit) will be refunded providing you have given at least 6 months written notice. All payments or part payments taken after that date will not be refunded. All cancellations must be addressed to Pinkface Cakes, Sun Cottage, Pinkface Studio, Clements Gardens, Hawkwell, Essex, SS5 4DX
If you need to postpone your wedding, the seller will endeavour to accommodate your new date. The seller will require the full payment of the invoice when accommodating the new date. In the unlikely event the seller cannot fulfil the new requirements, the booking deposit will not refunded.
If The Seller needs to cancel your wedding cake and/or cookie order, all payments including your Booking Deposit will be refunded in full to the Buyer.
4.Damages
The Seller requires a signed delivery note by the person in charge at the venue to say that the cake has arrived and that it arrived in perfect condition. Photographs are also taken in situ and will be relied upon. The Seller accepts no liability for cakes that are damaged after they have been delivered to the agreed location/venue
If any damage occurs whilst the cake is in transit with the Seller, then a partial or full refund will be negotiated with the Buyer after the Wedding. Photographs of said damage will be taken and relied upon.
If the Buyer collects any cake or goods from the Seller, then they are fully responsible for the order once it has left the address. All cakes and goods are fragile and require care and attention when handling, storing, and displaying. Extreme care should be taken when transporting cakes. The Seller takes no responsibility for cakes collected from the premises.
Where samples of the Goods are shown to the Buyer, the Buyer hereby accepts that they consider such samples to be representative of the Goods.  Any image  provided as part of the wedding cake file is given for illustrative purposes only. Given the nature of the goods, minor variations of colour and design may apply.
5. Complaints
If the Buyer has any complaints regarding the wedding cake and/or cookie order, please email the Seller with a full explanation including photographs.  Consumption of the cake or cookies means that the cake was fit for purpose and no refunds will be given.
6. Cake Stand Hire
The cost of hire is £20.00. A CASH damage deposit of £60.00 is also required. This can be paid at your cake tasting appointment, or in person up until 2 weeks before your wedding date. This cash damage deposit will be returned to the Buyer when the cake stand has been returned to the Seller in perfect condition. If the stand is damaged, and therefore not suitable to hire to the next client, the damage deposit will not be returned under any circumstances. It is the Buyers responsibility to return the hired cake stand to the Seller at Pinkface Cakes, Sun Cottage, Pinkface Studio, Clements Gardens, Hawkwell, Essex, SS5 4DX
within 3/4 days of the wedding. Failure to return the cake stand will result in loss of Damage Deposit.
7. Non Edible Goods and Decorations
Goods may contain non-edible ingredients or decorations, such as plastic dowels in tiered cakes or wires in some sugar flowers. These will be detailed on the Delivery Note and must be removed before serving or eating.
8. Permissions
All sketches, designs and cake files are the artistic copyright of Pinkface cakes. You are not permitted to ask another supplier to replicate a sketch designed by the Seller unless written permission has been sought.
Pinkface is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. We do not, will not and have not ever sold or leased Client’s personal data to any third party.

• We may have images of your wedding cake published in magazines but they will not feature your personal details unless we have received your express permission
We may contact you by any of the contact information you have submitted to Pinkface Cakes. We do not send newsletters or ask clients to subscribe to any regular content.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
